Shave Before

The area is shaved 24 hours before your appointment so hair is present beneath the skin — where the follicle lives — but not above, where it would absorb surface energy.

Laser Destroys the Root

The Motus AZ+ glides across the chest in-motion with a cooled tip — delivering 755nm Alexandrite energy into each follicle. The heat permanently destroys the root without affecting surrounding skin.

Complete removal across the entire chest area — from clavicle to sternum and across the pecs. The most popular option for men wanting a clean, smooth chest without ongoing maintenance.

Partial / Defined Area

Reduction or removal of a specific zone — centre of the chest, around the nipple area, or a defined shape. Clean up without full removal. You decide the boundary at consultation.

Before Your Appointment

Shave the chest 24 hours before your session — not wax, thread, or pluck. The follicle needs to be intact beneath the skin surface.
Avoid sun exposure and tanning for 2 weeks prior — including self-tanner. Treated skin must be at its natural baseline.
Come with clean skin — no deodorant, moisturizer, or products on the chest area on the day of treatment.
No waxing for 4–6 weeks prior — waxing removes the hair root the laser needs to target.

After Your Appointment

Mild redness and warmth in the treated area is normal — resolves within hours.
Avoid heat for 24–48 hours — hot showers, saunas, intense gym sessions. Keep the area cool while the skin settles.
SPF if exposed — protect treated chest skin from UV between sessions, especially in summer.
Hair shedding is normal over the 2–3 weeks post-session — this is destroyed hair releasing, not new growth.
You can shave freely between sessions without affecting your results.
